Solar applications
The newly developed series of fully independent solar refrigerated containers is outstandingly suitable for regions that have unsteady or little energy supply but high solar radiation.
Fields of application such as storage of medicines or foodstuffs in relief organisations, as well as placement of technical devices for civil or military projects, are offered. Whether storage or office containers, all the variants receive the necessary energy for cooling, air-conditioning or power supply from specific photovoltaic modules.
The basic features and technical specifications of our containers as well as a list of standardised production variants are given below. We can diversify and adapt many properties within the scope of the technical aspects for your special requirements.
Solar Power Station
SPS-C
Solar Power Station-Compact is offered by K-Metall after a nominal output from 85 W to 1190 W.
The device is an isolated application and is therefore especially suited for undeveloped areas. It can be set up quickly and can also be folded up again and transported in no time. The device can be loaded manually by two persons depending on the size. Otherwise, a provision is made for the device to be loaded by a crane or forklift.
If you wish to transport the device permanently, special transportation solutions can be offered. We offer higher outputs (from 1200 W onwards) as large containers or as a special solution. In SPS-C, all the components are accommodated in one body. The solar field is opened before the commissioning and remains clamped to the body.
You as a user should dimension your power station sufficiently. We would be glad to assist you in designing your plant. In order to determine the design, all the devices which you wish to operate should be entered in the enquiry sheet for SPS. It is also important to specify which devices should be operated simultaneously.
The Solar-Power-Station-Compact (SPS-C) comprises:

Power is supplied to the consumers by the customer.
SPS-K
Der The Solar-Power-Station-Kit is offered by K-Metall after a nominal output from 85 W to an unlimited value.
This kit is equipped with all the necessary materials for on-site assembly of the plant by the customer. The frame for assembling the solar modules will be screwed together on-site and it must be possible to securely affix it to the place of installation. The solar modules will then be attached to the frame. The solar modules, charge controllers, alternating-current converters and batteries must now be jammed as per the specification. It must be ensured here that all the electrical work is carried out by a specialist.
SPS-K is designed as an isolated application and is therefore especially suited for undeveloped areas. All the parts are delivered loose for SPS-K and assembled by the customer on-site.

Power is supplied to the consumers by the customer. K-Metall is also a manufacturer of independent solar-powered refrigerated containers, air-conditioned office containers, air-conditioned transmitter stations, ice containers and other applications.
Solar refrigerated container
Our offer comprises the planning, manufacturing and delivery of photovoltaic supplied, battery-powered refrigerated containers. Depending on the model, they help to store foodstuffs, medicines and other goods, to produce germ-free blocks of ice, to cool water, and to support technical devices or even office equipment. In addition to the cold storage cell, they are equipped with a battery and engineering room. 
The inside temperature can be freely selected depending on the requirement for a specific area. The energy supply and the indoor temperature control can be maintained during a low solar-radiation period of 72 h. The entire system works fully independently with solar energy, which is produced with the help of photovoltaic modules. The containers are suitable for constant as well as temporary use thanks to the ISO-standard container dimensions used and the easy transportability and uncomplicated assembly. All the models are durable, robust and low-maintenance.

The delivery period is four to eight months depending on the size and cost of the container.
Cladding systems
Ceiling liners with inspection flaps
Ceiling liners for air-conditioning systems should be designed which can be flexibly attached to the existing concrete ceiling and are guided by the facade pattern.
The powder-coated sheet metal elements are held by the substructure consisting of riveted angles and perforated rails and are infinitely adjustable in every direction. The ventilation grilles, made of anodised aluminium, and the powder-coated inspection flaps are attached between two of these elements in each case. They are suspended from bolts and clamped using a magnetic lock.
Socle wainscotting for heating devices
The existing socle wainscotting made of coated sheet metal should be replaced and equipped with grilles for sucking in cold and blowing out warm air, whereby existing substructures were continued to be used.
The front element can be easily hinged and unhinged for purposes of maintenance; the upper cover gets only a section and is recoated. The newly manufactured air outlet box helps to guide the warmed-up air and is screwed to the heating device. All the elements are manufactured accurately according to the measurements provided by the customer.
A socle wainscotting made of high-quality stainless steel, in conjunction with natural stone elements, was designed for this purpose.
The stainless steel ventilation grilles and the granite slabs lying in between are attached to the load-bearing substructure. The cladding panels reflect the facade pattern and the cover panels made of granite form a harmonious finish.
Railings
With K-Metall’s stainless steel railings, there is a stylish solution for every object. Whether it’s for a staircase in the office building or a maintenance platform for the facade, we plan handrails and railings for you in varied designs depending on your functional and aesthetic requirements.
We also offer overall constructions for maintenance platforms and fire escape balconies, fire escapes or other items for your project. We coordinate the design of the individual components can be accurately coordinated, so that a visually attractive and functionally sound result is achieved.
